Robert T. Thompson

Robert T. Thompson 
Senior Managing Director, Head of Alternative Investments

Mr. Thompson is the head of AIG Investments’ worldwide Alternative Investments business, having joined in 2005.  Previously, Mr. Thompson was a co-founder and managing member of Ferrer Freeman Thompson & Co., LLC (“FFT”), a private equity firm dedicated to investing in the health care industry.  Prior to FFT, he was Managing Director and Equity Group Leader at GE Capital. Mr. Thompson founded, organized and developed GE Capital’s private equity activities throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America. Mr. Thompson has over 18 years of experience in all segments of the private equity business, including fund investments, mezzanine investments, direct investments, joint ventures and leveraged buyouts. He currently serves on Investment Committees for AIG Investments’ alternative investments activities. Mr. Thompson received an AB in Economics from Harvard College and an MBA from Stanford University.

     
Nicholas Brown

Mr. Brown joined AIG Investments in 2003 and is Chief Administrative Officer of Alternative Investments. His previous role at AIG Investments was Chief Administrative Officer of AIG Global Real Estate. Prior to joining AIG Investments, Mr. Brown was a founder and Chief Operating Officer at Equinox Partners, an executive search and recruitment firm serving the commercial real estate industry. Previously, Mr. Brown served as Chief Administrative Officer of Tishman Speyer Properties. He then became Chief Operating Officer of iBuilding, a real estate technology start up company formed by Tishman Speyer Properties. Before being employed by Tishman Speyer Properties, Mr. Brown was a partner with McKinsey & Company where he worked primarily with financial services companies, but also served clients in healthcare, energy, and retail. He started his career with Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Brown received a Bachelors in Mathematics from Cambridge University and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Ms.Tse is President and CEO of AIG Investments Asia, a regional leader in investment and asset management with extensive capabilities in fixed income, listed equity, private equity and real estate.  AIG Investments Asia manages approximately US$80 billion in assets and employs more than 200 professionals in 10 offices across Asia ex-Japan as of 31 March 2006. Ms. Tse also heads the Private Equity practice of AIG Investments Asia and is Chief Executive Officer of the flagship AIG Asian Opportunity Funds.  This family of funds aims to achieve substantial long-term capital appreciation through the purchase, active management and disposal of a portfolio of privately negotiated investments in companies across the region. Prior to joining AIG Investments Asia in 1996, Ms. Tse was engaged in financial advisory services and equity capital markets work at Morgan Stanley & Co. in New York and Hong Kong.  Before joining Morgan Stanley, Ms. Tse was an attorney at Sullivan and Cornwell in New York. Ms. Tse received a B.A. with honors in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University and a J.D. with honors from Harvard Law School.  She has also attended the Stanford Business School Executive Program. Ms. Tse serves as an Advisory Committee Member of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, advising the SFC on policy matters regarding its regulatory objectives and functions.  She is a Hong Kong Chapter Member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, a member of the Friends’ Committee of the Asian Cultural Council and a board member of the Asian Youth Orchestra.  Recently, she was selected by the Asia Society as one of 25 “Young Leaders” from the Asia-Pacific region for its Asia 21 Fellows program.

Mr. Yeung is a Managing Director of AIG Investments, New York and is President & CEO of AIG Capital Partners, as well as Head of AIG’s infrastructure investments in emerging markets including Africa, Eastern Europe, and Latin America covering the various AIG-sponsored infrastructure funds. Prior to joining AIG Investments in 1995, he was with Bell Canada Enterprise and Northern Telecom, managing telecom and IT venture capital investments in North America. Before that, he was with Xerox Canada Finance managing a large-scale project finance and captive equipment financing business. Mr. Yeung received a B.S. in Marketing from Indiana University and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He is a Chartered Accountant of Ontario and a Certified Public Accountant of the State of Indiana.

     
  Ion Bogdaneris

Mr. Bogdaneris joined AIG Investments in 2006 as the Head of the European Alternative Investments business. Prior to joining AIG Investments, Mr. Bogdaneris was a Senior Advisor with The Blackstone Group based in London. Prior to Blackstone, Mr. Bogdaneris was the Chief Executive Officer of Kistefos, a privately controlled Scandinavian private equity group. Earlier in his career, Mr. Bogdaneris established GE Capital in Europe and played a key role in the successful strategy development and acquisitions of the business across Europe. His GE career also included two significant CEO operating roles in Europe. He has also worked at McKinsey & Company and Salomon Brothers. Mr. Bogdaneris received a BA in Political Science and an MBA from McGill University. 
     
  Stewart Homler

Mr. Homler joined AIG Investments in 2007. He has over 20 years of investment experience, 11 years of which have been focused in Tokyo and Hong Kong. Prior to joining AIGGIG, Mr. Homler was Regional Head of Deutsche Asset Management’s Asia-Pacific Private Equity Group. While in Asia, he also held positions as Chief Representative in Japan for Prudential UK’s private equity activities and as Director of CSFB’s Asia-Pacific private equity office based in Hong Kong. He first moved to Asia in 1997 with MetLife as Director of its Asia-Pacific investment office. Mr. Homler began his career with MetLife in 1987 in New York where he was involved in real estate investments, corporate lending, corporate restructurings and private equity. Mr. Homler holds an MS in Real Estate Investment from New York University, and an MBA in Finance and a BSM in Accounting from Tulane University.
     
Ana Vigon

Ms. Vigon is one of the senior managers of AIGCP’s global private equity practice.  Since joining AIG in 1992, Ms. Vigon has managed several AIG-sponsored private equity funds focused on Latin America.  Ms. Vigon oversees the investment strategy and portfolio management policy for BSSF I, and is a member of its investment committee.  She has been directly involved in all phases of the investment process of BSSF I, as well as recruiting and training the BSSF team.  Ms. Vigon served on the Board of Directors of several of the BSSF I portfolio companies, including Gol Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes S.A., Sendas Distribuidora S.A., and FasInt Ltda.  Prior to joining AIG, Ms. Vigon served as Senior Portfolio Manager at Assesores Bursatiles, AIG’s former asset management joint venture in Madrid, where she managed four mutual funds.  She served as Assistant Treasurer for Gruppo Hispamer in Spain from 1988 to 1990.  Ms. Vigon holds degrees in Economics and Business Administration, as well as a law degree from Pontificia de Comillas University (ICADE) in Madrid, Spain.

     
Pierre Mellinger

Based in Warsaw, Mr. Mellinger has overall responsibility for AIGCP’s private equity activity in Central and Eastern Europe as well as being one of the senior managers of the global AIG Investments practice.  Mr. Mellinger joined AIG Investments in early 1998.  He oversees the investment strategy and portfolio management policy for NEF I. He was instrumental in raising NEF I and has been directly involved in the sourcing, evaluation, execution, monitoring and exits of the NEF I portfolio as well recruiting and training the NEF team.  Mr. Mellinger is also a member of GEM II’s Investment Committee for non-Asia deals. Mr. Mellinger has extensive experience in investments, finance, and management for more than 25 years, including almost 20 years in direct investments.  Prior to joining AIG Investments, he was co-Head of the Financial Institutions Team at EBRD where he played a leading role in the setting up and development of this department and in particular its equity portfolio.  Mr. Mellinger was also a Director, Head of Business Development and Deputy General Manager of the mortgage bank with Banque Sovac, a US $10 billion total balance sheet consumer finance, leasing, mortgage finance affiliate of Lazard Freres.  Prior to that position, Mr. Mellinger was a senior officer at the French Minister of Finance in charge of export credit finance and financial relations with Central and Eastern Europe.  In this capacity, he was responsible for the analysis and recommendation of export credit coverage in CEE and was directly involved in the financing of the Euro-Siberian pipeline, a US $10 billion project. Mr. Mellinger, a graduate of the French Ecole National d’Administration, holds a degree in Economics from Paris University, a Law Degree from La Sorbonne, as well as a degree in Political Science from Institut d’Etudes Politiques of Paris.

     
Scott Foushee   Scott Foushee

Mr. Foushee joined AIG Investments in 1996 and is a Managing Director for AIG Capital Partners, focusing on emerging market private equity investments. He is active in all phases of the investment process and serves on the investment committee of the AIG Global Emerging Markets Fund II, as well as on the investment committees of several of AIG Investments' regional emerging market private equity funds. Previously, he served as a Director with the Barents Group, an emerging market corporate finance advisory group, where he led numerous corporate finance, privatization, and restructuring assignments throughout Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. His background includes three years as a member of the start-up team of Bain Capital, a direct investment group affiliated with Bain and Company. Mr. Foushee also has substantial operating experience as Head of Operations for Colorstrip, Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer of specialty steel and as the General Manager of GNB Corp., a manufacturer of high-vacuum valves. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the Harvard Business School.
     
FT Chong   FT Chong

Mr. Chong joined AIG Investments in 1998 and currently leads the Direct Investments Team which focuses on private equity and mezzanine investing in developed markets such as the United States and Europe. Mr. Chong has worked in buyouts and leveraged financing since 1981. Mr. Chong is currently a director of a number of companies including Fresh Direct, High Response Holdings and IHS. Prior to joining AIG Investments, Mr. Chong was Executive Vice President for Business Development for the GT Group, an Asian conglomerate, from 1994 to 1998. In the early 1990’s he was a founder and CFO of Dynadx Technologies, Inc., a start-up company that developed and marketed a new out-of-home advertising technology. From 1981 to 1989 he was head of the $3 billion US leveraged finance group at Swiss Bank Corp. and participated in or led the financing for more than two dozen high profile leveraged buyouts. He received an MBA from Columbia University and also has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Malaya.
     
Steven Costabile, CFA

Mr. Costabile joined AIG Investments in 2000 and is the Managing Director of the Private Equity Funds Group. Mr. Costabile brings his in-depth knowledge of private equity funds to AIG Investments and has played a significant role in the successful growth of three product lines, Pinestreet LLC, PineStar (secondaries) and the PEP program. Mr. Costabile serves on the Developed Markets Fund Investment Committee, APEN Investment Committee and Asia Private Equity Investment Committee. His current responsibilities include overseeing all private equity funds investments in the developed markets, as well as sourcing, due diligence, monitoring product development, and marketing. Mr. Costabile’s private equity investing and valuation experience dates back to 1990. Previously, from 1997 to 2000, Mr. Costabile was a Vice President at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) in the Private Funds Group, with a focus on investments on behalf of CSFB and third party investors. Prior to that, he was the Senior Investment Officer of Alternative Investments for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Assistant Director of Venture Capital for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In both positions, Mr. Costabile focused on private equity fund investments. He received both a BSBA and an MBA from Duquesne University. He is also a CFA charterholder and holds a Series 7 license.

     
Steven Costabile, CFA  

Harvey Lambert

Mr. Lambert joined AIG Investments in 1996 and currently leads the secondary investments operations at AIG Investments. In this role, Mr. Lambert is responsible, on a global basis, for AIG Investments’ acquisition and management of private equity interests on secondary markets. Prior to his current role, Mr. Lambert was a senior member of the PEFG focused on making private equity fund commitments as well as providing strategic planning and asset allocation analysis with respect to client private equity portfolios. Mr. Lambert began his career with AIG Investments reporting to AIG’s Chief Investment Officer, where he was responsible for providing global capital markets research and analysis with a focus on private equity investments. Mr. Lambert sits on several private equity fund advisory boards. Prior to joining AIG Investments, Mr. Lambert worked in corporate finance and accounting at both Black & Decker Corp. and General Dynamics, Inc. He received a BS in Finance from Virginia Tech, where he was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma, and an MS in International Business from Johns Hopkins University.

     
Christopher Lee

Mr. Lee joined AIG Investments in 1998 and founded AIG Highstar I in 2000. Mr. Lee's experience in private equity, banking and finance, principally in the energy, utility, transportation and capital goods sectors, dates back to 1977. Mr. Lee has led the team in sourcing, evaluating, negotiating and closing eight investments. From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Lee was an independent adviser to clients in the infrastructure sector. Mr. Lee is President and a Director of Southern Star Central Corp., a Director of Stagecoach Holdings, LLC and was a Director of Transcore Inc. Prior to that, Mr. Lee was Chief Financial Officer of Grupo Tribasa, an NYSE-listed, Mexico-based infrastructure development and construction company. Mr. Lee led Grupo Tribasa’s IPO in 1993 and, five-months later, completed a secondary offering at nearly three times the IPO price.  Before Grupo Tribasa, Mr. Lee worked at Lehman Brothers in the emerging markets, M&A (where he acted as the firm’s global privatization coordinator) and project finance groups. Additionally, Mr. Lee managed The Chase Manhattan Bank’s U.S. construction and heavy equipment lending operations. He received a BA degree from Johns Hopkins University and attended the London School of Economics.

     
Jordan Robinson   Jordan B. Robinson

Mr. Robinson is Vice President, Global Private Equity Strategies for AIG Investments. He is responsible for assisting in the strategic planning, product development, and asset allocation of AIG Investments’ worldwide private equity efforts. Prior to his current role, Mr. Robinson served as the Assistant to AIG’s Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer as well as Regional Investment Officer for AIG’s international insurance companies. Before joining AIG, Mr. Robinson held various corporate finance and investment positions with the CIGNA Corporation and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. Mr. Robinson received a BA in International Relations from the Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Georgetown University.
